Foxy Wellbeing

Foxy New Year, Part 1

Hello there, and happy weekend!

Together, we’ve been working on becoming spectacular foxes by getting to better know ourselves and making our dreams into actionable priorities. Last week, we talked about creating priorities. We will be covering more on that in the future.

This week, I think it’s time we take a breather and share a bit on wellbeing. So, inhale some sunshine and exhale some tension. Relax your shoulders down and release your jaw. Breathe. You belong here.

If you didn’t just take a deep breath, now’s a great time. Exhale into a smile and you’re set. Did you know that the action of smiling, even when you’re not happy, can trigger the positive feelings that normally trigger a smile? Taking deep breaths and cycling out all that old air in your lungs will renew your energy too. Now there are some foxy life hacks for you. Easy, quick, and delicious. I’m smiling just writing about it!

I love the feelings of refreshment and renewal. They are so wonderful, tangible, and bright. Like early sunlight warming the skin on your face, or a cool sip of fresh water after a workout. Yum.

It’s important to refresh and renew ourselves regularly, even frequently. We are our best selves, and most capable of becoming better foxes, when we feel well in body, mind, and spirit.

Can you recall a time in your life when you were happiest? Is it now? What did (or do) you do that made you feel happy, fulfilled, healthy, energized, or simply peaceful? What music were you listening to at the time? What foods were you eating? What kind of exercise were you doing? Who were you socializing with? How much time were you spending outdoors? Follow this line of inquiry and then ask yourself the essential question: can I re-introduce (or maintain) at least one thing that renews or refreshes me?

Try out one small thing and see how it goes. Quality and consistency are much more valuable than quantity of time spent. Layer in fulfilling and inspiring components to your day and you will build up your energy to keep growing.

Put on some music while you’re getting ready in the morning, or eat/drink your breakfast outside (mine’s espresso!). Shake your money maker when your honey gets home. Drive with your windows down to let a little outside in. Call a friend while doing dishes or some other mundane chore. Read this newsletter while drinking your espresso... you catch my drift! 😉🦊

It’s super foxy to be well. So celebrate life and layer in something that makes you smile. I’ll be over here on my balcony sipping espresso and smiling, thinking of you reading this newsletter and wondering what brings you wellbeing. Send me a note if you’d like to share and say hi.

Three cheers for my lovely foxes,
