Weekend Update
Oh happy day, it’s the weekend!
I love weekends, and apparently you do too! Thanks to all of you lovely foxes who voted in the newsletter schedule poll. There was an even split between Saturday and Sunday as the preference for receiving foxy content in your inboxes. And an even split between morning and afternoon! I guess that leaves me as the tiebreaker. Muah ha ha ha ha.
So what we’ll do is have a weekend newsletter. You’ll get something foxy from me EVERY weekend. I’ll try to establish a regular delivery time as I practice my new drafting process. Thank you so much for reading!
It’s really fun to have you here, witnessing and contributing to my journey as an artist and content creator. Every newsletter, I receive emails and phone calls from my foxes, and I absolutely love it! You inspire me to continue creating, and I love hearing about how you’re living your foxy lives.
This week, I had a really cool conversation with one of my foxes (you know who you are! 🦊) about documenting my creative process. The thing is, I have a hard time sharing anything but a “final” product. That’s why I’m behind on my marketing plans for Merrifox, especially with Instagram and YouTube content. I have yet to even post a Merrifox YouTube video! Yikes!
It turns out my own expectations for quality content are getting in the way of progress. I need to get out of my own way! The funny thing is, my favorite Instagram and YouTube creators all document their process, and progress. I am much more interested in viewing the steps to the final creation rather than just the end product. So what the heck, I’m going to try to do the same.
Soon, I’ll be sharing with you my first landscape series - painted in acrylic using palette knives - and hopefully my first YouTube video. Keep your fingers crossed for next weekend!
